Friendly, relaxed. A nice place to spend the day.
Wonderful day, my 70th birthday present from my son, fantastic meal drink, cake, all served by excellent staff, that made us really welcome, didn't want or anything, highly recommended for any cricket fan with a special celebration. Superb day out. Thank you so much
A beautiful ground to spend a lazy afternoon enjoying the cricket
Smaller than most grounds, makes it both
intimate, and versatile. Lovely venue with
a proud history. Ideal for private functions,
concerts, and of course the fantastic game
of cricket. Easy access.
Great evening's entertainment, very family & children friendly - well planned & Sussex won!!
Recently had a meal in the tent for a charity. The food was superb, the service was not. Although very polite and accommodating there was one person on the table who asked for the vegetarian. Starter, main and desert all had to be asked for. Salt pot in the table was empty.
The room was comfortable considering the roof is simply a sheet if plastic and it being winter.
On match days, depends who's playing and where you sit but worth going. Currently a construction site at the entrance. There appears to be an underground car park, always thought this was for residence if the block if flats but may also be for cricket pitch visitors.
We were in the Newbury cricket shop next door to the Sussex ground, we were served by a very helpful young man, who helped us pick the right batting gloves for our son.
Went there as part of the Big Business Breakfast networking event, the event was great, as well as the venue, I can't fault the service or the staff, it is an interesting place to visit.
Christmas party venue for 80s themed night. The food was ok, the DJ was excellent - nice to see a traditional disco! Drink choice limited but reasonable on price for Brighton. Would probably recommend.
